Home Cooked Chicken Parmesan  Appetizer: Caesar Salad paired with Franzia Merlot Well I know you have mentioned several times that Franzia is just about one of the worst wines you can drink, but seeing that I never tried it and my mom had some I figured I would give it a try. The wine itself was not great and pairing red wine with a salad was not my best idea. The wine itself did not taste very fruity to me it just left a bitter taste in my mouth. I thought that maybe the salad dressing would help with the bitterness but it honestly made it taste worse. Next time I drink wine with a salad I will probably steer towards a white wine.  Main course: Chicken parmesan paired with Veneto Moscato  The wine itself was not very good to me. It was incredibly sweet and was super thick, it was not easy to drink at all. The wine was a lot better with the food. The garlic on the noodles and the cheese and sauce on the chicken paired really well.

Drink This Now! Lesson #1 So I went to a wine store called Grape & Gourmet. They did not have any of the bottles that were listed in the chapter but the worker recommended this one to me and said it was similar so I went with it.  When I first opened the bottle, the smell was overwhelming. It immediately made my mouth pucker up and I was honestly scared to even try it. The color was a deep red, almost appeared black whenever it was first poured. I knew that the tannins would be really strong at this time so I was looking forward to trying the wine again in two hours to see if I could pick up on any more flavors. 2 Hours later... After the two hours, I could tell the wine was going to be so much better just by smelling it. The intensity of the smell that made my mouth water had disapp

Wine Dinner Blog Report #1 Olive Garden First of all, I would like to note that this was by far the best homework experience I have ever had. My husband wanted to take me out for a date night so we decided to go to Olive Garden. Once we got there I explained to my waitress what I was having to do and she was so excited to help. She suggested food and wines for me to taste and even brought out the bottles so I could take pictures of them. She also brought over her manager and he wished me luck on my assignment. Overall, I had a great experience and would highly recommend any students to go to Olive Garden for this assignment. For my appetizer, I had the chicken gnocchi soup and I paired it with the Cavit: Pinot Grigio In my opinion, I did not think that these two paired well together. I thought the Pinot Grigio tasted and smelled like your typical Pinot Grigio. Nothing about the wine stood out from any other Pinot Grigio I have had before. I thought it was acidic
